A pretty good way to ride out this hurricane is to get once again caught up in trying to understand what the deal with this kid is. What’s the deal with him?! Why can’t I understand him? Why does he fascinate me?

Just to be clear here, by the way: I’m not fascinated by him in that “ooh, he’s adorable and funny and I want to know about him” way which is why I imagine he’s quite popular (though his extreme level of popularity still is sort of weird to me…not that he’s not good or whatever. He’s fine. It’s just strange). I’m fascinated by him the way David Attenborough is fascinated by a bird. I’d like to study him in his natural habitat and try to understand how he fits into the world at large.
